Lulled by art in all its forms since his youth, it is through architecture that Clovis Neymo, alias El Domo, expresses himself at the beginning.
As his name indicates, he began by creating earthen domes as part of an artistic residency. He soon realized that he enjoyed thinking about and creating the interior of these small dwellings more than he did the external structure. It is then that he turns to the sculpture of furniture with a deep desire to combine practicality and aesthetics.
He hollows out the walls or gives them relief while maintaining a useful function: storage, display, decoration.
Ceilings and floors are also put to contribution.
The interior as well as the exterior of a house becomes a blank canvas where El Domo can fully express its creativity.
He now lives between paris and ibiza where the growing interest in his art allows him to energize his work: new materials, new methods and ever more original and personal forms.
Sculpting furniture is also working with the intimacy of those who commission him, bringing together several sensibilities.
